Supplier Code of Conduct Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this Supplier Code of Conduct Policy is to outline the ethical standards and expectations we have of our suppliers at Oil Analysis Laboratories. As a company deeply committed to integrity, fairness, and responsibility, we believe that our suppliers should uphold these same values. We view our suppliers as an extension of our company and therefore consider their conduct a reflection of our own.

Scope

This policy applies to all suppliers and contractors of Oil Analysis Laboratories.

Responsibilities

All suppliers are responsible for adhering to this policy in all their dealings with and on behalf of Oil Analysis Laboratories.

Ethical Business Practices

  • We expect our suppliers to conduct their business in a manner that is honest, transparent, and free from corruption.
  • This includes compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and adherence to fair business and advertising practices.

Employee Treatment

  • We expect our suppliers to respect and protect the rights of their employees.
  • This includes compliance with labor laws, provision of fair wages and working conditions, and respect for the rights of employees to freedom of association.

Health and safety

  • We expect our suppliers to provide a safe and healthy working environment for their employees.
  • This includes compliance with health and safety laws, and the provision of appropriate training and protective equipment according to the national / regional laws and regulations.

Environmental

  • We expect our suppliers to operate in a way that minimizes their impact on the environment.
  • This includes compliance with environmental laws, the implementation of sustainable practices, and a commitment to reducing waste and emissions.

Human Rights

  • We expect our suppliers to respect human rights and to avoid complicity in human rights abuses.
  • This includes a prohibition on child labor, modern slavery, forced labor, and any form of discrimination or harassment.

OAL commitment to ensure our suppliers operate responsibly

All major suppliers to our business to be an approved supplier must agree to the general principles outlined in this document and their own internal processes target each of these key points. To ensure our suppliers are practising these values, we reserve the right to verify our suppliers’ compliance with this code of conduct through audits or other means. OAL will give the supplier notice of 30 days to provide evidence or facilitate a date for a site visit to confirm practising with these values. We ask our suppliers to be open with us and in turn we will never ask our supplier to divulge anything commercially sensitive or information not directly related to assessment of these values. We will also not ask for this information more than once per 3 years.

Non-compliance with this code of conduct may result in the termination of our business relationship.
